Do not use if you:

  • Have an aspirin or salicylate allergy/sensitivity.
  • Have an active stomach ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or significant bleeding disorder.
  • Are taking warfarin or other anticoagulant/blood-thinning medications without approval from your healthcare professional. Willow bark may increase bleeding risk.
  • Are taking aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or other NSAIDs without first consulting a healthcare professional.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding unless specifically approved by your healthcare professional; safety of Meadowsweet during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
  • Have a known allergy to Echinacea or related plants, particularly members of the daisy/ragweed family. Echinacea can cause allergic reactions, occasionally severe.
  • Consult a healthcare professional before use if you take medications for blood pressure, blood sugar, blood clotting, or immune suppression, have liver/kidney disease, have asthma associated with aspirin sensitivity, or are scheduled for surgery.

  • Important — Not for Children

  • FOR ADULT USE ONLY. White Willow Bark should not be given to children because of concern for Reye syndrome, and the EMA also does not recommend Meadowsweet for people under 18 because of insufficient safety data.

Individual responses may vary. Possible side effects may include:

• Mild stomach upset, nausea, heartburn, or diarrhea

• Headache or dizziness

• Stomach irritation, especially in individuals sensitive to White Willow Bark or Meadowsweet

• Increased bruising or bleeding tendency

• Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or hives

• Changes in blood sugar or blood pressure in sensitive individuals

• Mouth or throat irritation from stronger aromatic herbs such as Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, and Black Pepper

White Willow Bark & Meadowsweet: Because these contain salicylate-related compounds, they may cause stomach irritation and can potentially increase bleeding risk. People sensitive to aspirin or salicylates should avoid this formula.

Echinacea: May occasionally cause digestive upset or allergic reactions, particularly in people sensitive to plants in the daisy/ragweed family.

Licorice Root: repeated or higher intake can potentially cause increased blood pressure, fluid retention, reduced potassium levels, headache, or abnormal heart rhythms in susceptible individuals.

Discontinue use if persistent or concerning side effects occur. Seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing, facial/throat swelling, severe allergic reaction, unusual bleeding, black/tarry stools, or other serious symptoms.
